  ■ NRTL    -> 미국의 UL 통합 인증

  NRTL(국가인정시험소)이란

     미국직업안정보건청(OSHA)은 자국내 사용되는 제품으로 부터 국민을 보호하기 위한 제도로서 초기 2개 기관으로 안전과 관련된 시험

     및 인증의 업무를 위임하였습니다. 그러나 경제와 산업의 발전에 따라 관련 업무가 증가하였고 여러가지 개선의 필요성이 제기되었습니다.

     이에 OSHA는 미연방규정(CFR) 29조 1910.7항의 내용도 포함하여 1998년 국가인정시험소를 국내외를 포함한 17개 기관으로 확대하여

     NRTL이라는 프로그램을 운영하게 되었습니다.

    * NRTL(Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory/미국국가인정시험소)

     미국노동부산하 직업안전보건청(OSHA http://www.osha.gov/dts/otpca/nrtl/)에서 인정한 시험소로서 현재 15개 기관이 인정을 받음

         (NRTL인정 15개기관: CSA, CCL, CSL, FM, ITSNA/ETL, MET, NSF, QPS, SGSUS, SWRI, TUVPTL, TUVAM, TUVPSG, TUV, UL)

I.NRTL의 개요

1) 주관조직 - 미국노동부산하기관인 OSHA (직업안정보건청)

2) NRTL의 역할
OSHA는 NRTL(국가인정시험소)을 인정(Accreditation)합니다.
NRTL은 제품 및 부품(재질)이 안전규격에 적합한지 시험하고 인증합니다.
제품 및 부품은 인증되고, 등록되고, 라벨을 붙이게 됩니다.
제품 안전규격은 미국 규격기관(US Standard Organization)에 의해 승인됩니다.

II. TÜV 현황

1) TÜV PS(뮌헨)과 TÜV America는 모두 TÜV SUD Group의 지사입니다.

2) TÜV PS는 독일의 NCB로서 CFR 29에 의하여 NRTL로 인정되고 그 시험결과 및 평가결과를 이용하여 NRTL 마크를 부착할 수 있습니다.

3) TÜV America는 OSHA로부터 심사를 거쳐 NRTL에 인정된 시험기관이며, 따라서 TÜV America를 통해서도 NRTL 마크 부착이 가능합니다

4)특히, TÜV America는 캐나다 규격기관인 SCC에도 인정시험소로 등록이 되어 있어 캐나다 인증도 동시 진행이 가능합니다.

5) TÜV Korea는 NRTL로 인정된 TÜV PS 및 TÜV America와 동일한 자격의 지사입니다.

6) TÜV Korea는 Global Network을 이용한 업무 협력을 통하여 손쉽고 경쟁력 있게 NRTL 인증 업무가 가능합니다.
